Wildhorse
This breathtaking venue is located in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains surrounded by 25 acres of beautifully landscaped lawns and gardens, flagstone patios, and secluded areas that make this a perfect place for an unforgettable event. This charming facility has a mystical history behind the name. Spanish Mustangs escaped from early Spanish explorers and missions wanting to run wild and free from the late 1600s to the early 1900s. The mountains and backcountry in this area offered protection to these wild horses. Today there are over 15,000 of these wild mustangs roaming the western part of the U.S. and are considered "living symbols of the historic pioneer spirit." Most of the original buildings were made of traditional adobe block from the late 1890s and parts of the area were used as a base camp for gold and silver mining. The ranch played host to many movie stars while filming at the Old Tucson Movie Studios from the 1930s to the early 1970s. With millions of dollars in renovations, "The Oasis at Wild Horse" has evolved into a modernized, beautiful corporate facility.
